Vision: A pluralistic society where peace and harmony prevails

Project Goal: To contribute to post-war reconciliation processes by empowering partners/ target groups with potential for outreach with an improved understanding of Pluralistic Values, Conflict Transformation and Conflict Mitigation.
This project aims at strengthening post-war reconciliation process by empowering partners/target communities with potential for outreach with improved understanding of democratic pluralistic values, conflict mitigation, and built networks, increased visibility and public solidarity across social levels.

The project is implemented in Batticaloa, Mannar and Nuwara Eliya districts. The project is grounded with 12 Conflict Mitigation Groups (CMGs), as four groups in each district. The space for reconciliation would be widened through a collective of Civil Society Groups named as CSGs. Then this effort would reach district level with the governmental body for reconciliation named as District Reconciliation Committee (DRCs formed by the state)

The project contributes to the post war reconciliation process by capacitating CMGs, CSGs and DRCs in enhancing their skills, knowledge and attitudes and by establishing a network specialized and committed for reconciliation. The project is financially supported by Misereor.
