was implemented to address disputes emerging among villages in Mannar as an entry point to introduce Prevention of Violent Extremism and Coexistence among different religious communities, addressing prevailing communal issues such as drug abuse and alcoholism, and environmental threats through awareness-raising events. The objectives of the project were to foster unity and harmony within and among all communities and to establish youths as role models for building trust and facilitating nonviolent conflict transformation among communities by engaging in dialogue. 40 youths in were capacitated in this activity, who identified current issues in the village and to find solutions to mitigate conflicts, which were recorded in a video documentary, which was used as a resource to facilitate dialogue with youths & communities in Batticaloa, Mannar, Hatton and Puttalam. This documentary was submitted to UNDP to be used as a knowledge product.
