A pluralist society where peace and harmony prevails

Center for Communication Training

Centre for Communication Training (CCT) is an organization dedicated to transforming the way we communicate. Our goal is to teach and train people to enhance general communication skills to make it a non- conflictual, compassionate and holistic mode of engagement. We employ a definitive tool – Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg, a psychologist, which distils the wisdom of age old practices of language and communication in to a clear process.

About Centre for Communication Training (CCT)

Centre for Communication Training (CCT) is an organization dedicated to transforming the way we communicate. Our goal is to teach and train people to enhance general communication skills to make it a non- conflictual, compassionate and holistic mode of engagement. We employ a definitive tool – Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg, a psychologist, which distils the wisdom of age old practices of language and communication in to a clear process.
We feel that this training especially relevant to Sri Lanka in the post – war phase. The spiritual dimension provides a mode of healing, while the methodology in general foster respect, attentiveness and empathy. It is our belief that decades of violence have eroded our capacity to be empathetic. This failing has seeped into all levels of our social engagement, including family, communities, institutions and government. CCT was set up in 2003 as a non-profit company with board of directors representative of the ethnic, religion and gender composition of Sri Lanka.
